Empower Yourself Today

Things are always busy in the studio, gardens and homestead. The days are filled with making art in everything we do. Deborah Landry loves to share passions and strives to live in a synergistic, sustanable and inspiring enviroment. If you dream of creating something or always wanted to learn to do something you will want to hang out with Deborah Landry.

Women’s Carpentry

This workshop is about empowering you to say ” I can” and never to be limited by the fact you have never … Whether the NaySayer is in your head or people in your life you will learn to blow them out of existence. Empowerment is more than just learning a skill, it is the feeling of confirmation that this is the way it should always be. We take pride that with each graduate the world comes a little closer to gender equality.

Our classes for women and the female-identified take into account a more feminine learning style. We put a focus on learning as we go, encouraging students to ask questions and ask for help. We work on group projects, along with individual ones. This sense of togetherness and connection with the group helps everyone feel safe and welcome. We highlight different abilities and strengths, noticing that everyone’s contributions are needed and that they come in handy in different ways.

On Demand Workshops

Come experience the one place where you can learn anything and everything, while being yourself.

There are always plenty of interesting things going on in the studios and gardens.  The “Hands On Calendar” will keep you informed.   If you dream of creating something or always wanted to learn to do something you will want to hang out with Deborah Landry.  The list of what she hasn’t done is way shorter than the list of what she has.  And even then I can’t think of anything.  So I am going to say she can do it all.  We have listed a collection of general workshops that might interest you.

The Workshops are by Demand. If you see something you like to learn, contact Deborah to find a date and then sign up, the minumn size is two people.

Homesteading and Permaculture

Homesteading and permaculture are listed separately from art workshops.  Although they are considered just as artful.  These workshops and activities are mostly woven into everyday living.  They are part of the lifestyle  at Deborah’s studio and gardens.  She often harvests something from the yard and makes tea or flavored Vodka.  There is always homemade Kombucha and date bars for snacks in the studio.  You can purchase Kombucha, date bars, turmeric paste as well as lip balm, just call ahead.

Meet The Artist

Deborah Landry one of the first two women to be trained as a carpenter in the US Air Force. She has a long history of creating art, teaching, and carpentry. She works as a public artist and works in every material including concrete and mosaics with handmade ceramic tiles. In her Lithia Springs, GA studio you can work in clay, wood, concrete, as well as paper making, painting and printmaking just to name a few possibilities. We hope you will stop by and see what is possible. We look forward to meeting you.

Testimonial

I first took a womens Carpentry to make a planter. Since then, She has helped me make a headboard and platform bed, a loft for my son and many other projects.  If I want to learn how to do something Deborah is the first place I go.  She is great to work with.

Deborah’s Workshops are addictive.  All my projects are part of my party rental business.  Deborah is literally helping me become self-employed.  I love that I can learn carpentry, ceramics, sewing and making handcrafted tea at her studio.
